Leadership for Physician ExecutivesTM
Invest in Your Leadership Potential!

Boston, April 23, 2007.  Congratulations on "the fine and outstanding success of your recently conducted postgraduate course," Leadership for Physician Executives.

"You should take great pride in the fact that 97% of the attendees who responded noted the course as being above average or superior to other similar postgraduate courses that they have attended.  This is a stellar accomplishment and in no small part reflects your unswerving dedication and commitment to excellence and your zeal for teaching and mentoring.  Please convey my sincerest congratulations and gratitude to your faculty."

—Dr. Sanjiv Chopra, Faculty Dean for Continuing Education, Harvard Medical School

The fundamental principles about human behavior taught in Leadership for Physician Executives will help you to find solid, specific solutions to some of your most vexing work problems—problems previously unrelated to the practice of medicine.

In this seminar, co-sponsored by Harvard Medical School's Department of Continuing Education, physician-leaders examine the implications of new and different kinds of power and recognition, changes in ethics and values, and changes in relations with colleagues and others.  Participants confront problems in motivation, decision making, conflict resolution, change, and the leadership dilemma of being accountable for others.

As in the On Leadership course, we ask participants to prepare a short “live” case.  They discuss these real-life cases during the seminar week in groups of six or seven, applying a powerful problem-solving model based on the concepts presented in the morning lectures.  The small-group sessions are extremely powerful learning forums; experienced preceptors who are physicians themselves lead the groups.

Leadership for Physician Executives has been helping physicians succeed in their challenging leadership roles since 1984.  Over 1,800 physicians from around the world have found this inspired program to be one of the most valuable and rewarding seminars they have ever attended.
