Leocadia Burke, Ph.D., (Lee) heads the executive-coaching department at The Levinson Institute. She has been with the Institute since 1980, during which time she has taught in leadership seminars for managers and officers of several hundred corporations. She has consulted with companies on a variety of organizational and human resources issues, but her special interest has been, and is, executive development. Prior to her tenure at The Levinson Institute, Dr. Burke held faculty positions at Carnegie Mellon; Tufts University; Boston College; Boston University; and taught at University College, Dublin, Ireland; and The Center for Corporate and Community Relations at Boston College. In addition, she conducted research and held clinical positions in hospitals and universities. Her managerial experience comes from administering two departments, the larger of the two being comprised of 150 professionals. Dr. Burke has provided executive development, career counseling, team building, and organizational consultation for the following organizations: Allied Signal, Carolina Power & Light, Fleet Bank, Fidelity Investments, Florida Power & Light, Honeywell, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Johnson & Johnson, Kimberly Clark, Raytheon, Purdue Farms, Tyson Foods, Sonoco Products, and a variety of lesser-known companies and hospitals. Dr. Burke was awarded a Ph.D. from Boston College. She is a licensed psychologist and a certified arbitrator. She has published in professional and popular journals, and has co-authored a book on personality attributes. |
